Enrichment Programme

Certificate Course in Communicative English (1 Year)

The course is designed to enable the students to acquire various communicative skills in oral as well as written English so that they become self-reliant and confident to face interviews, take part in group discussions, debates, make public speeches and also engage in creative writing. The course prepares them for a variety of careers.

Certificate course in The Creative Art of Home Management (inter-disciplinary course)

It is an innovative programme that aims at training the students in the relevant spheres and equipping them with the necessary skills to manage their home on their own. The short-term course for students involves the participation of both the teaching and non-teaching members of the college fraternity. It gives thrust to sewing, cooking, holistic life styles, fabric painting, embroidery and flower arrangement.

Life Management Programme

Zoology Department is conducting a life management programme which is intended to inculcate scientific temper to introduce applications of various biological disciplines in real life and to make students enjoy their studies outside classroom through field work. Different classes are arranged on topics like vermiculture management, aquarium management, medicinal plant culture, fish culture and pond management, environmental management, public health and hygiene.

Enrichment Programme-Mathematics Department

The programmes provide skill based education to prepare students for various proffessional courses such as MCA, MBA, MIT etc. Two programmes: Orientation courses in C++ and Common ability Training in IT are offered. The first programme is for students and women of the locality and the latter is intended for the third year Degree students.

Computerized Accounting Systems and Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (CAS and EDP) 

The department of Commerce offers a certificate course in Computerized Accounting Systems and Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (CAS and EDP) from 2000-2001academic year onwards. 

Enrichment Programme-History Department

The History department conducts short-term courses in Tourism and Travel Management. In co-operation with the Career Guidance and Information Centre, the department organises coaching classes for the students to successfully participate in competitive examinations.

Computer Centre

The Dept. of Mathematics, in association with Micro Computer Centre, Ernakulam, is conducting short term & long term courses leading to diplomas. This facility is open to students, old students and members of the staff.
